Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use olivesegypt.com, in English and Arabic, whatever device or assistive technology they use.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have checked the site ourselves; it has not been audited by an independent organisation.
What you can expect
- Every page is in English and Arabic, and tells your browser and screen reader which language it is in and which direction it reads.
- Everything works from a keyboard, and a visible outline shows where you are.
- Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and your browser can fill in your name, email, company, country and phone.
- Screen readers read out the message you get after sending a form.
- Pages can be zoomed to 400% (or read on a screen 320 pixels wide) without scrolling sideways, and work with your browser’s larger-text and wider-spacing settings.
- Text and controls meet the WCAG minimum contrast, in light and dark mode.
- The cookie banner and the floating buttons never hide the part of the page you are working on with the keyboard.
How we check
We test every page with an automated checker (axe-core) on a phone-sized and a desktop-sized screen, and by hand with a keyboard. A check that runs after every update to the site looks for missing labels, missing image descriptions and blocked zoom.
Known limitations
- Our downloadable PDFs are tagged for screen readers, with their language and bookmarks set. If you need one in another format, email us and we will send you the same information as text.
Tell us about a problem
